DECEMBER 2008- I was selected as a Finalist for the Bridge Art Fair Miami Basel Juried Competition and will be featured in the show catalog.   • SEPTEMBER 2008- My letter Collage "Letter to Summer" was not only accepted to the Blanche Ames National Show, but it also won 3rd prize! The show was juried by Richard Whitten. The opening was on Saturday, September 20th from 7-10 at the Blanche Ames Mansion in Sharon, MA. The show will be up for the rest of this month. For more info check out

  • SEPTEMBER 2008- STOLEN! STOLEN! STOLEN! This past weekend I participated in the Boston Arts Festival. The festival was great, I got to show and sell my work among 60 other artists. Unfortunately, one of my miniature paintings "Eve" was stolen! Please, if you have any information or ever come across this piece, realize that it was stolen and contact me as soon as possible.



    SEPTEMBER 2008- September 27th, I will participating in MontFest, an event organized by Montserrat College of Art for the alumni. If you are in Beverly that day, make sure to stop by the Beverly Commons and check out "Art in the Park". I will be there among other alumni selling artwork!




    JULY 2008 - Letters to You. I will be having ANOTHER solo exhibition this July! The exhibition will consist of my new series of Letter Collages which can be seen under my collage link. The exhibition is going to take place at Mimi Gallery in Ipswich. It will go up June 29th and the opening reception will take place Friday July 18th from 5:30-7:30pm.     JULY-AUGUST 2008 - Several of my Letter Collages were accepted to the b.j. spoke Gallery´s international juried exhibition; Paperworks 2008 in New York. The exhibition was juried by Samantha Rippner, Associate Curator, Dept. of Drawings and Prints of Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. They will be exhibited in August, stay tuned for more details.




    MAY 2008 - I have updated my website extensively!! Check it out. Paintings, collage and photos have been organized by series. I have also included two new series. The Animal Project can be seen under the Photography link. It is a series which combines animals and figures interacting with eachother. Also new, Collage Letters which can be seen under the Collage link. This is a series of letters to people and things which transforms literal words into shapes and color allowing specific structures and palettes to take over. Check them out!

So take a look at what you like; paintings, collage, mixed media, photo etc. They are all titled and signed by me and are packaged in a clear envelope.     APRIL / MAY 2008 - My painting "Alpha Kevin" was accepted to the Creative Arts Workshop Juried Show PAINTING AS PRESCENCE, juried by William Bailey, Kingman Brewster Professor of Art Emeritus, Yale University. The exhibition will run May 9 - June 27. The opening will take place Friday, May 9 5:30-7:30pm. "This exhibition reveals some of the richness and diversity of painters working today."   • JUNE 2008 - I will be exhibiting 10 of my paintings in Lowell, Saturday and Sunday June 14th and 15th as part of the ARTHOUSE exhibition. The exhibition will be open from 12pm - 6pm both days and will take place in the Hamilton Canal District,155 Middlesex St, Lowell MA. ARTHOUSE is an exciting exhibition in which, The Boston Home Team at Prudential Unlimited Realty and developers Community Glue collaborate to bring you the seventh installment of Arthouse, located for the first time outside of Metro Boston, in seven unique live /work lofts.   • MARCH 2008 - Up Close and Personal: Catalina Viejo Lopez de Roda. This is my first solo show!   • MARCH 2008 - Gallery XIV in Boston has organized "The Canvasation Project". This is a project in which different colleges and venues participated to create large collaborative paintings.   • SEPTEMBER 2007 - My work was accepted into the Blanche Ames National Juried Exhibition, Juried by Nan Hass Feldman, internationally known artist and educator.     MAY 15, 2007 One of my portrait collages was accepted to the Mills Pond House Gallery Annual Juried Competition! The exhibition was juried by Amy Smith-Stewart, curator at the Mary Boone Gallery. The exhibition will take place June 9 - July 14, 2007. The opening reception will be held on June 16, 2-4pm. The Gallery is located in St James, NY.
